This baby is preserved with formalin and is resting in 70% isopropyl alcohol. Eventually the alcohol may become discolored which isn't unusual with wet specimens. Since obviously, you can't replace the alcohol in this pendant, keeping it away from heat and direct sunlight will help.
This little guy was ethically sourced and was not killed for the purpose of being put in a jar and neither was its mother. It was preserved by Black Bears on Bath Salts, which would be even cooler if that wasn't their shop name, but it's a cool guy in NY who deserves credit.
